Overheard

I don't know their names, so:

Bob: Do you have a girlfriend?

(after a few seconds) Joe: I don't know.

yawn, yawn

I'd like to write something but I'm too tired... the improvement and important thing is that now I can laugh without a good reason. YES! I'm on the good way of becoming crazy, being crazy = no worries, no problems, a wonderful life. Good night.

~!@#$%^&*()_+

If a girl I don't know pokes me with her foot under the table and then she looks at me with a big grin does that mean anything? OK, nevermind.

aberration? not.

I can't believe this, I'm so smart sometimes but soooo stupid sometimes. OK, why did I draw this? Because I want to remember to bang my head there if something happens again or if I want a new monitor, of course. I thought of using the labels but most of my posts would have the aberration label. Actually all of my posts are aberrations. I also, finally, figured out how to communicate by retch. Morse! Exactly, long retches and short ones.

A pirate's tale

lol

Do you speek Retch?

I read on Gogu Kaizer's blog (romanian) that a retch can be an answer. My question is: how would you know if the retch is an "yes", a "no", or an "I don't know". I'm waiting your answers.

News about mp3 players

Just in case you didn't know, Zune it's official. I don't like the brown one because I don't like brown and I don't understand Apple's decision, why their player comes in so little colors to chose from? Unlike iPod the Microsoft's player has some trumps:

- Will be able to send music from user to user via WiFi for use for three days or three plays, whichever comes first

- 3 inch QVGA screen (bigger screen)

- Radio Data System enabled FM receiver

-Support for H.264, MP3, WMA, WMV, MPEG4(!!!!!), .JPG and AAC

-12 hour battery life when playing music, 3.5 hours playing video

-Ability to change wallpaper to user specified image

-The player will also have VoIP capabilities.

Here are some links showing Zune in action:

Another thing I forgot to post is that Apple launched the iPod Nano Second Generation (which has a pretty cool ad ) and the iPod Shuffle Second Generation (that's what I call a small mp3 player).

List of Windows Vista's characteristics

This is a small and incomplete list of what I like and what I don't like about Windows Vista, things that I had to deal with, but there are more "+"s and/or "-"s for sure (I'll add them as I found them or as I remeber them) and I didn't mention the driver and software incompatibility problems because it's not a final release. I'll also add some screen shots of the most interesting points. An interesting list of bad things about Windows Vista you can find here.

+nice flip 3D windows feature
+by pressing alt+tab now you can also see live the opened windows
+or by moving the mouse over the button of any application in taskbar
+well implemented search feature, it searches while you type and search boxes are handy because they are almost everywhere
+nice sleek and glossy design
+useful sidebar with gadgets
+a worth mentioning tool - Snipping Tool, you can easily take a screen shot of the whole screen or a certain area
+sleep and lock computer features now can be easily accessed from the start button
+more functionality added everywhere, now you can easily chose the size of the icons of any window by moving up and the down a little bar, you can see the size, the free space and a little horizontal bar representing the occupied and empty space of each item in Computer (old name "My Computer")
+they removed the very annoying up and down feature in the search box
+you can control the volume of each application
+now the sound record lets you record as much as you want on one track
+it's easier to select an icon, when you hover over an icon a transparent square shows up

-to shutdown the computer you have to click the same number of times but it's a small button that lets you do that and the shutdown button has been replaced with the sleep button which saves your session and puts the computer in a low-power state so that you can quickly resume working; I think many people consider it useless because they always shut it down and as I do they might wish a easier and fastest way to shutdown the computer.
-there's no maximize or minimize effect, only when minimized from or to taskbar.
-the nice glow effect when clicking on the user picture at the login screen is not there anymore unlike the previous builds
-no xp theme
-speech recognition needs improvement
-sidebar needs more gadgets (As the community will grow up I think there will be more gadgets)
-there's no menu bar in windows

Unbeileveable...

We must be sad...

In the sprit of Donna's blog (not Madonna) today I learned that people are always sad no matter what they have or how much money they have. If we don't have a real reason to be sad we imagine one, that's how we're made. If you're always happy you must be insane (scientifically proven). We can't always have all the things together at a time that make you happy, or if it happens it's for a short time.

I also learned that you *must* have a planner (written or electronic) to not forget things.

I visited a big bridge with my family and some friends this weekend and then we went to the the Pacific Ocean near the border of Canada. The landscapes were extraordinary.

First week of prison (also known as school)

The first week, a tough one, much homework, even some tests, and many papers to be filled in and signed. I played baseball for the first time and I think I did pretty well. I hate school but it is a little less boring because we have good teachers and most of them allow us to listen to music while doing boring things. I hate school anyway and I can hardly do other things because it keeps me so busy. Every teacher has a different policy, I hate that, you always have to think: Am I allowed to chew gum in here? Am I allowed to listen to music in here? You just can't learn them, it takes some time. The English teacher is great, in fact I don't know why he is still in school, he can be a great comedian. When we go to English class is like going to a good comedy. Today we talked in class about the rules and about the swears. He told us a little funny story about when he caught his finger at his cars door. He dropped the keys on the ground and he couldn't reach them nor releasing his finger and he started swearing so loud that another teacher heard him and came to him to see what's happening. He was staring at his finger impressed. My English teacher was swearing loud like a trooper to give him the keys but he said: -Look at your finger, what happened? being really concerned. The English teacher was swearing even louder but it didn't help, with the stupidest, dumbest face he said: -Seriously, you should do something about your finger, pointing at it.
On first day he came dressed normally, with t-shirt and pants but the second he came dressed with a suit, like an old teacher, looking more formal, official. A student asked him why he is dressed like that. He told us that it often happened that some parents when saw him, after saying hi to their kid, they were asking who's their friend and that's why. He told us more funny stories but I'm kind of dizzy and tired right now but I'll update my blog with his new gags.
I also started to learn web design, and that's great. I know very little web design and I hope I'll get some improvements this year. I suck big time at math and it's kind of weird the teacher and students at math. The cafeteria stinks and I'm not eating from there anymore, I eat home-made sandwiches, I think it's safer :) Once, after I grabbed my food I seated next to a kid with very short arms and it was so gross and disgusting that I almost lost my appetite, good luck I was starving otherwise I would have been starving some looong hours.
Good night.

Realitatea crudă

ultimele ştiri = trafic mare
înjurături + ultimele ştiri = tot trafic mare???? wake up ppl!!!

novo:

Amin.

Bloggers

The best thing about blogging is that you can write (almost) everything. When I started this blog I was aware that I can become a "hunter" of subjects for this blog. Some people write stuff that attracts traffic on their blog while others don't care how many people read their blog. I'm not expecting big traffic, I'm not always thinking what other cool stuff to post but I wouldn't mind some visitors. The people which don't care how many people read their blog usually post personal stuff. An interesting thing, in my opinion, is that some people read blogs for news although there are a lot of websites for news. I learned that people appreciate when you remember their name. For a blogger his or her blog is the center of the Internet. Why? Because it's about him or her. People care about them, so, they care about everything about them, but, they don't care about others as much as they care about them. I didn't read any statistics but I think the most popular blogs are those about news. Why? Because we only care about us, only a famous person from the media could gain big traffic on his or her blog by writing only personal stuff and that's why people read news on blogs. I might be wrong but theoretical I'm right.
